At age 16 Francis was thrilled to be accepted on a full scholarship into Harvard's prestigious business program. Unfortunately, her time away from home was brief. After enduring the hazing rituals of Tri-Delta (including a gang-rape on a pool table that Francis remembers fondly), her mother unexpectedly died while giving birth to the family's newest addition, Spane Isowthofrans.

The eldest of five siblings Francis put her schooling on hold, as she was the only able-minded family member old enough to retain guardianship of her brothers and sisters. Abandoning her Harvard aspirations, she picked up her mother's Tupperware business and ran a successful day-care center.

After years of sacrifice, hard work and prayer she finally obtained an online degree from Bob Jones University and when Spane was able to hustle enough to provide for the family, Francis decided to explore a darker, mustier corner of her whole and participated in the Kinsey Institute for Higher Learning. It was after this seminal experience that Francis discovered her essential duality... another woman inside of her, known... as Pearl... who rears her fabulous head when Francis exposes her deeper wholeness.

Such a rigorous academic career eventually put Francis in the hospital where she nursed her back by keeping her legs in the air for a month

Francis/Pearl is a semi-retired now, hosting a madcap parties for the social set, organizing fund raising drives for back-room bars, and filling in as a substitute teacher.
