Hollywood FlashBash is a free, public performance for everyone who is unknowingly (and intentionally) on Hollywood Boulevard when we arrive. We are art, unmistakably a "creation" incorporating sight and sound, engaging each viewer on their own level. Whether by altering people's perspectives, raising questions of societal values, or merely by entertaining them (all functions of "classical" art), we exist as dance, as movement… separate from, intermingled with, and weaving in and out of an "audience." In turn, the audience joins and participates with us, engages us one-on-one or simply views us from afar.

Not bad for the first Saturday of the New Year, huh? And we've been doing it for six years! We call it Hollywood FlashBash. . . and everyone's invited. So support us by coming to Hollywood Boulevard with your cameras, by traveling with us in drag or as an advertiser on this website with a link and ad for your business (for a modest tax-deductible donation).

Hollywood FlashBash is a production of Beacon Dance, a not-for-profit organization, which funds this event predominately with advertising revenues and contributions from businesses and individuals like yourself. As this project has few administration costs and none of the performers are paid for their efforts, a large percentage of all donations go directly towards it's creation.
